in order to achieve that which is desired."
Earl Hoock, my ninth grade geometry teacher, who once told the
class, "As long as you have to be told what to do and when to do
it, you will never be a leader."
Ed Dubinsky, one of my mathematics professors at Purdue, who
said,"In order for a student to learn mathematics, the teacher has to
