AVID-Advancement Through Individual Determination AVID is here!! Battle Creek Middle School is proud to announce that AVID is a new program offered for our 8th grade students. AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. The AVID
Program is designed to offer an elective class to students who would
like to prepare for a college education. Students who choose the AVID
program are expected to show exemplary citizenship, good attendance,
keep a G.P.A. above 2.00, and be motivated to work toward college

Educational Talent Search What is Educational Talent Search? Educational Talent Search is a federally funded TRiO program designed to
assist middle school/high school students and high school dropouts with
the necessary understanding, knowledge, skills, and self-esteem to continue
in and graduate from high school. The Educational Talent Search program
also helps students that have been traditionally underrepresented to explore
training and educational options, and enroll in postsecondary institutions.
The Friday Show The Friday Show has been on the air for 18 dog years. It is
produced by Mr. Brown and Mr. Thomsen. Everyone gives a little to
the show and we end up with an interesting mix of entertainment and
