Boys Basketball
An “overachieving” (according to coach DeWayne Combs) boys basketball team is off to a 3-3 start, with solid, high scoring guard play and excellent rebounding driving the team. The players selected Adam Simmons, Quiqui Copper and Byron Evans as captains of a team that Coach Combs describes as “very quick and defensive minded, with group of guards able to score a lot of points.” As of press time, the team is heading into a stretch with three games in the span of a week  (against Hazel Park, Ramsey and Murray), to be followed by the City play-offs, which begin March 7th.
